Application of this sweat results in an increase in circulation to the area, which helps nourish injured tissue and increase elasticity to cramped muscles, their associated tendons, and ligaments. It is extremely effective in reducing wind puffs. The antioxidant DMSO carries methyl salicylate (wintergreen with analgesic and antirheumatiod properties) deep into tissue where it can be effective. The range of flexion in most treated joints increases dramatically after several applications. Because this sweat is so powerful, it can be applied without bandaging on the larger proximal joints such as the shoulder, stifle and hock.
